Written in the 1470s, Codex Wallerstein is the oldest manual that Scholars of Alcala offers. This year we are pairing them with the Joachim Meyer’s dagger precepts, written in 1570. The weapon used is the rondel dagger, so called for its distinctive disks that form the hilt and pommel. This dagger was typically 12 to 20 inches long with a triangular blade.
